Description

Early morning on Vasona Lake, the water barely moving, a single rower out there in the middle of all that quiet. The autumn trees along the far bank are going full orange and red against a sky that hasn't decided yet between pink and grey, the whole scene reflected softly in the still water below. It's the kind of morning that feels like it belongs only to whoever is up early enough to catch it. This watercolor canvas print handles the mood beautifully, loose and atmospheric, the colors vivid where they need to be and everything else left deliberately spare. The rower is just a small dark shape in a very large, very calm lake, which is exactly the right proportion. The matte canvas finish suits the soft, washed quality of the palette perfectly, nothing overworked, nothing overdone. Gallery-stretched on a slim 1.25" pine frame and ready to hang out of the box, it's for anyone who knows Vasona in the early hours, or anyone who simply wants something genuinely peaceful on their wall.
