Description

This is Route 68 on a day when the weather is interesting and the fields are at their best, that particular inland palette of dusty greens and warm golds that the coast range produces in spring before everything dries out. The oil paint treatment gives it more texture and weight than a watercolor would, the brushwork confident and a little rough, the clouds built up in thick strokes that feel genuinely atmospheric.
