Route 68

Description

A strip of yellow wildflowers along the field edge, a shallow creek catching the sky, a cluster of oaks in the middle distance doing what Central California oaks do, standing solid and a little dark against a sky full of moving clouds. This is Route 68 on a day when the weather is interesting and the fields are at their best, that particular inland palette of dusty greens and warm golds that the coast range produces in spring before everything dries out.
